THE CHARITY - The British Lung Foundation

The British Lung Foundation is a charity with which I have had strong links. Both my brother and I suffer from asthma (like Paula Radcliffe) and is something that we have had to live with everyday of our lives. I have run for The British Lung Foundation in three London Marathons raising over £14,000.

Last year my godmother whom my family and I was very close to died of lung cancer. It was a huge shock to us all how quickly she  deteriated, especially as she had just got married for the first time, and had never been happier. It was a huge loss to us all not to hear her laughter or to be touched by her vibrant enthusiasm. In her memory, I wish to attempt to raise awareness for the illness and raise funds for a cure. It is too late for her now, but I know that she would have wished that I would be helping others who suffered in a similar manner to her. My aim is to raise at least £40,000 for the British Lung Foundation.
